Voltou a receber dinheiro.
English summary · includes the ending
Two poor brothers agree to earn money by telling lies. One will travel ahead and sell surprising news. The other will arrive later and appear to confirm it. Before leaving, they agree on their stories.
In the first town, the first brother announces that a child with seven arms has been born elsewhere. People pay him for this extraordinary news. Some doubt it and prepare to check, but the second brother arrives. He says he has not seen the child, only a shirt drying with seven sleeves. The crowd accepts this as proof and pays him too.
In another town, the first brother says he has seen a mill on top of a pine tree. The second later claims to have seen a mule climbing a pine tree with sacks of flour. Again, people believe the story and pay. The brothers continue their journey, deceiving people in other places.
