Lav i krmača
Jedna divlja svinja hodala je šumom. Tražila je nešto u zemlji i ljutito govorila.
English summary · includes the ending
A wild sow moves through a forest with about ten piglets. She digs in the ground, sniffs around and complains loudly. Her young follow beside her, making noises and digging too. Eventually, the family reaches a lion who is sleeping in the sun outside his cave.
The lion has one young son. The cub is playing with a thin branch beside his father. He is handsome, strong, lively and cheerful. However, the sow wants an argument. She rudely asks the lion whether he is unhappy to have only one son, when she has ten young of her own.
The lion wakes in surprise, stands up and answers in a powerful voice. He tells the sow to go away. He says that she grows prouder as the number of her young increases. He raises just one son, but he is proud because that one son is a lion.
